1. Title and Author
Minimum Informaton for the search in the
TUB text_image_vocabulary (tubtiv) for colour education and standardization

2. Content and search text within the tubtiv
The tubtiv combines text (three lines) with colour images.
Therefore any search text within the three lines
is connected by a link to a special colour image.
This colour image has the file format pdf and the size A4
and may consist of 16 sub images.
The same search text usually appears in many
other of the about 36.000 lines with links to 6.000 colour images
of the size A4. For example there are 283 hits for the search text
hue circle.
3. Search example within the different tubtiv files
The file tubtiv_2he (Section 2) includes images which
have been created between 2019 and 2024. The file size is
approximately 400 KB. The file includes 8.000 lines with links
to 1000 images of the size A4, see
http://color.li.tu-berlin.de/tubtiv_2he.htm in a new window
or relative tubtiv_2he.htm.
The file tubtiv_1he (Section 1) includes images which
have been created between 2011 and 2018. The file size is
approximately 900 KB. The file includes 14.000 lines with links
to 2.500 images of the size A4, see
http://color.li.tu-berlin.de/tubtiv_1he.htm in a new window
or relative tubtiv_1he.htm.
The file tubtiv_2he (Section 0) includes images which
have been created between 1998 and 2010. The file size is
approximately 900 KB. The file includes 14.000 lines with links
to 2.500 images of the size A4, see
http://color.li.tu-berlin.de/tubtiv_0he.htm in a new window
or relative tubtiv_0he.htm.
Some users may have interest of the largest tubtiv file
with all (a) images created between 1998 and today. The file size is
approximately 2,2 MB. The file includes 36.000 lines with links
to 6.000 images of the size A4, see
http://color.li.tu-berlin.de/tubtiv_ahe.htm in a new window
or relative tubtiv_ahe.htm.
4. Search in a tubtiv file with a web browser
For example, the web browser Safari allows a direct search
within any tubtiv file, see the file names above.
Choose in the menu Safari the option
Edit > Search > Search in File.
This is similar for other web browsers, for example Firefox.
For example, the search term hue circle shows 36 hits in Section 2.
As an alternative to the menu, there are keyboard shortcuts for direct
search, and for the search forwards and backwards.
All blue links before each hit of the search term are active and show:
- All pdf-image series of chapter e, language e within Section 2. This are
260 images of the size A4, see
ee2s.htm.
- The pdf image of the size A4 size of Chapter e, language e,
and part t0, see
eet0/eet0l0np.pdf.
- Up to 16 sub images of chapter e, language e, and part t0, see
eet0/eet0.htm
The pdf-image series, the pdf-image, and the up to 16 pdf-sub images can be
can be downloaded, and may be printed. After download of the
PostScript code (file extension .txt), editing of the code
is possible. Adobe PostScript manuals are for free in the internet.
Also for example editing is possible by the image software
Adobe Illustrator.
5. Comparison with other vocabularies
Other known vocabularies for example of the standard organisations
ISO, IEC, CIE, and DIN usually combine standard terms by text information.
However, the tubtiv combines the textual information with
the visual colour information.
The tubtiv includes important developments of the colour-image
standardization between 1998 and today.
